Happy Fair and Balanced Halloween!

We are excited to be able to spend Halloween at home with our little one this year. We weren't sure if Avery was going to be with us in time! And what with all of the excitement that has been going on the last day or two, I forgot to display this year's pumpkins. Milli's turned out way better than mine; there's a new champion in the house! There have been several requests made, so here they are (in no particular order).

Travis's

Milli's

(The extent of effort involved in each pumpkin and sheer difference in size of the pumpkins in no way represents the political leanings of our family. Suffice it to say that we will both be plugging our noses when we step into the booth this year. Also of note: Avery could fit inside either of these pumpkins with ease.)

You guys are so talented! I love it! I called Brian over to look and he had a good laugh too :)

Pumpkin pictures are great, but I am requesting MORE MORE MORE pics of your new little pumpkin ;)

I know you two are new at this parent thing, but I'm pretty sure putting newborns in a pumpkin, lit or otherwise, is a no no! Well done on the carving though!

Those pumpkins are hilarious - I love them! Congratulations on your new addition. She is breath-takingly beautiful. I can't believe how tiny she is, but it makes sense now why Millie only looked about 5 months pregnant in the hospital bed there. Take good care of your girls, Travis! Millie way to go! I am so thrilled for you both.

You guys are just asking for someone to smash those one or both of those pumpkins to smitherines. Lovely work, though. I MISS AVERY!

I'm so happy that with all you have going on you didn't leave out the pumpkin carving. What a great tactic to encourage everyone to get out and vote.

Hey I know you are probably craving yummy cookies right about now. (Or rather I remember wanting to eat everything in sight after I had my babies.) I posted the cookie recipe on my blog. So check it out.

And hug that precious little girl for me.
