Last year of 30's!

Yay for Travis, it was his birthday! He turned 39. For his birthday, he worked for 10 hours, then he went and helped his friend move! Sometimes its no fun being a grown up!

I slaved over this amazing cake, pretty much all day.

Its pretty amazing! The girls and I surprised him with pizza and the "cake" while the boys were moving.

And this is the best picture I got :(

Travis is definitely a catch! I'm glad I chose him and that I have had the opportunity to celebrate 12 birthdays with him! I can't believe this is his last year in his 30's! He is growing up fast! I can see potential salt and pepper in his future, he is gonna be a silverfox! He is such a sweet husband and a loving father. His little girls know that their dad loves them!
Happy Birthday Travis!

The Fair

We experienced the carnival at the annual Gila county fair this evening and only spent their college savings. Not bad, not bad at all!

Isla was obsessed with this obstacle bounce house. Apparently she isn't familiar with waiting in line. She would climb the course, go down the slide, and just run in front of the line and go again. Travis didn't even bother trying to teach her, and the ride instructor just thought it was funny. Hmmmmm, she might be a little entitled as a teen, whoops!

I was also able to go to the Kindergarten field trip earlier in the week with Brooklyn's class. She thought I was cool for two minutes, then she went and hung out with her friends. Whatever little diva! I know you love me!

Labor Day Weekend

These guys came all the way to Globe to visit us... or to watch BYU play UofA? Either way, they came and it was fun

Especially because BYU won, if they didn't win, it would have been a really long awkward two hour drive back to Globe from Glendale.

After the game ritual "I touched a lot of them." -Travis Charles
He was a kid in a candy store for sure!

Also, we went with some Wildcat fans. It was questionable if they were gonna have a ride back to Globe for awhile, but since the Cougars pulled it off, they were welcome. We love the Hanson's.

I also ran into this sister of mine and her husband. Sure Jon, I guess you can get in on the picture. Ewww.
It was pretty neat to see my "ute fan" sister wear blue. Glothy would be proud sister.

The rest of the weekend, we mostly just chilled in the exciting town of Globe. There is so much to do here, it was a tough choice, but we settled on the game of Twister for entertainment.

And entertaining it was.

You can't come here without getting a blizzard at the ole DQ. We know how to treat guests.

Also, the Dyers came all the way from San Diego to see us... or to visit Will's mission sites? Either way, we loved seeing them. We miss our Kansas City family!
Another must do Globe attractions, Round Mountain hike. We conquered it with 6 kids!
Labor day was great, we aren't used to people coming to us and we really liked it. Hopefully I upsold Globe on this post and it will happen more often!

Superstars

My kids made the front page of one of Globe's newspapers. They are sort of a big deal. Lots of exciting things happen here :)
