Halloween

I've always been a supporter of Halloween.

I love the costumes, the decorations, the goodies and the time of year.

We went to an adult only party at the Chow's

Where we were very sophisticated.
We ate donuts from a string.

We also added some new decorations

Also, I let Avery carve and paint her own pumpkin!

Can you guess who's is who?
And then, we of course, had to go to a pumpkin patch

It just didn't feel natural running around a pumpkin patch with so much sweat.

And then, of course, the annual Trunk or Treat

All leading up to the big day

Isla was a pig that needed a leash! She has a mind of her own these days!

After the candy fest, we hung out at our house with our friends and had a bonfire, and of course, binged on candy!

futebol

This year was new and exciting because Brooklyn played soccer! She was on the 6U team and Avery was on the 8U. We just knew our girls were going to tear it up this year.

Well, Avery, for the most part was great. She was awesome the first quarter she played. She is fast and ran after the ball. She would totally lose her steam in the last quarter. You could tell when she was done because she would be in the defense area while the ball was on the other side... and she was the forward. Oops! She even scored a couple goals, but of course that was the one game we missed! Oh well, at least Grandma and Grandpa were there to witness it.

Brooklyn on the other hand was well, really good at running around and picking grass and chasing butterflies. We thought this girl would have fight in her on the field, but mostly she just showed up for the social aspect and the treats. Travis is devastated.

He thinks Isla is going to be our athlete (but I think he has said that about everyone of our girls when they were two, we have very physical two year olds.) Isla was the biggest fan!

What the 7?

How did this happen? I know every parent wonders how their kid grew up so fast, so I won't go into a tantrum about it, but seriously how did this happen? Avery is 7 if you are wondering what i'm freaking out about. Since she got a birthday party last year, we decided to keep it low key this year.
You know, breakfast in bed, favorite dinner, donut cake and presents.

It was a good one!

Avery, you have so much zest for life!

You hate going to sleep because you hate missing out. As soon as you wake up, your eyes are huge with excitement for the day. You hardly ever sleep in.

You have the most creative mind. You come up with the funniest things. All you need is crayons, scissors and tape and the inventing begins.

You love animals. You never let me kill spiders, and you even gripe a little when we have to kill scorpions.

You are a very sensitive girl and are affected by people easily.

We think you might be a lawyer when you grow up, because you are always stating the facts, even if it makes you a snitch or tattletale (sometimes you rub people the wrong way by doing that)

You are the loudest person ever. I don't think you know how to whisper!

You are such a good big sister. Isla loves you so much. Brooklyn looks up to you (when you two aren't fighting).

You have the roughest hands. Not kidding, your whole upper palm is covered because you climb so much. You are obsessed with the swinging monkey bars right now and you are the president of the swinging monkey bar club at school. You like to impress the boys.

You are a little book worm and are reading like there is no tomorrow. Your favorite chapter books are Junie B. Jones.

You started Tae Kwon Do. Its really good for you. You burn off energy and are getting tough!
You are so inquisitive about everything. You ask a million questions.

You are growing such a strong testimony. You read and understand the scriptures.

You have lost almost all of your baby teeth, except your canines and molars.

You started piano lessons and you are doing well.

I can't even imagine what our little family would be like without you as the big sister. We love you Avery. You are growing way too fast!
