Uhhhh........

So I didn't mean to, but I took a hiatus from blogging.

I have too many important things to do. There are bums to wipe, toys to pick up, mouths to feed, etc.

I think you get it, I'm playing the "exhausted mom martyr" card right now. Yes I am busy, overwhelmed, exhausted and downright brainless right now.

OK, I feel guilty. The truth is, is that I am a little addicted to pinterest and I like to salivate over things I will probably most likely never pull off. I'd rather do this than try to come up with some new material for my blog these days.

But I have so many great pictures and events to talk about and I know a couple of grandparents, and maybe one friend that will probably want to see them, so folks, this one is for you!

I'm warning you, this post is gonna be all over the place!

First off, I'm sure that for the last month you have visited this blog, you have seen the Happy Birthday Travis post and you are sick of seeing the same thing. I just wanted to write the conclusion of that day.

We had a little get together with some friends at our house. I made cobbler, and then the candles melted into the cobbler, but other than that, it was cool!

Maybe if he wasn't so dang old, we wouldn't have the candle issue?

Then that weekend, we went to "Gladstone days." It was a cute thing to do with my cute girls and boy.

Travis was talking on the phone, so I thought I would take advantage with some free face paint.
Then he took advantage of me
And we teamed up and took advantage of her
Avery, well she just took advantage of herself
silly!

After all this fun, we went to Utah. I mean "we" minus Travis that is. I feel bad that we always have to leave the man alone, but he is a slave right now to his residency, and sometimes a girl needs to go back to her routes. Don't worry Trav, only 1 1/2 more years!

So if I wasn't such a procrastinator, I would have probably done a huge blog post about this trip, but it was over 2 weeks ago, and the novelty has worn off.

I would have probably gone off about how Delta airlines put the only woman on the plane with kids on the very very last row of the plane, which is fine, but there was no bloody window, and it was next to the crapper. Thanks for the dungeon seat Delta.

Then I would have gone off about going to the BYU football game with my sweet Grandma and sister.

I probably would've talked about the nostalgia of being back in Provo. All the memories I had that came rushing back. Sigh... that was a different life I had.

I would have mentioned all the fun we had with Sid and Tam

Going to the Witch fest at Gardner village...
Going rhinoing at 5 mile pass with the kiddos...
(PS, Dad, I won't mention the 90 degree mountain you were going to take my girls up... Trav would have freaked!)

I'd would have acknowledged that fact that we went to a stinking cute pumpkin patch with my mom

I think my girls were the reason it was stinking cute... ha, what a mom line!

I would have put a word in about how we had a fun little Halloween party for Avery's birthday!

I also would have informed about how my parents ditched us so they could go and ride their bikes to Brigham city with their old friends. They really did it!

OK, they didn't ditch us. They invited me to go with them, but I used my kids as an excuse not to go, in reality, I just wanted to save my butt from the seat!

But the little break was good, because it gave me a good excuse to go and see these beautiful people...

The dreadful in laws! More like dreadfully amazing! Ha, saved myself on that one! (can i seriously get any cheesier, what is going on with me? Maybe I am bored?)

Its always a good time at the Charles house. My amazingly talented sister-in-law, Tracie, taught me how to decorate cupcakes for a softball reunion I had to go to.
I felt like such an incompetent as I was attempting to not make them ugly. I think they turned out beautiful.
But then I tried cupcakes again a week later by myself, and they looked like barf. I need you Tater! You made me feel like I was home, thanks a ton SIL!

I loved seeing these two ankle biters play
They will be BFF's one day

Seriously, we miss our cousins so much when we are away!

If I was doing a real post, I would shift my focus from talking about the family fun things to the fabulous friend hang outs.

Like getting together with these gorgeous gals for a playdate at Allie's new house

college roomies Erin, Stacie and Allie... I can't get enough reminiscing

Then I would go off about hanging out with Tiffany, Niki and Shelley at Tiff's house. I would've made some witty remark about how we got lots of pics of our kids, but not any of us!

I If I had more time I would tell you all about my Bullet's reunion. I played softball with these girls since I was 10 and we were basically sisters all growing up. So many stories and experiences to share. If you are lucky, maybe one day I will enlighten you on my Bullet softball days.

I can't believe some of those girls in that picture are moms! I have a lot of dirt on some of you!

I miss you Kels!

OK, if I wasn't giving the Reader's Digest version of this post, then I would have ranted about how I couldn't get enough of these girls, so I had to meet up again with them.

Dear employees at Chili's, sorry we occupied your table for 4 hours and drained your supply of Diet Coke, but I was thoroughly entertained the whole night. So worth it!

And of course I would have had to mention getting together with my wonderful cousins for a bonfire and smore's.
I LOVE the Butler's.
And Avery can't either. Beckham and her are two peas.

Phew! That does it for this post. Aren't you glad I condensed it up?

Stay tuned for posts about Avery's birthday, and all the many Halloween festivities... when did this Holiday turn into the 12 days of Halloween?
