Easter 2016

Easter is always such a good time of year! This year, I really wanted the girls to know the real reason we celebrate Easter. We did Holy Week in our house. So every day we talked about what happened during Holy Week. So the first day was Palm Sunday, so we all made palms and reenacted the seen when Jesus rode in a donkey. We did things like that the whole week. I loved it and I really think the girls learned. I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of that stuff though, and only took pictures of the secular things like bunnies and jelly beans, I need to get with it!

Here are the fun secular Easter things we did:

Easter Egg hunt

Isla didn't really know what was going on. She would find one egg, open it, and spend a half hour trying to open up one candy. Also, Tish brought the confetti eggs. These are the best!

Dying Easter Eggs:
Of course, Dad did his yearly BYU egg

Easter Morning:

So traditionally, the Easter Bunny hides the hard boiled eggs we dye in the backyard. This year, about 6 eggs were missing after they were hidden because we think some animal found them and ate them. Globe is creepy.

Easter Dinner with friends:

It was a good Easter!

Family Pics

You would never know that I was sweating bullets, Isla was crazy and no one was cooperating!

Photographers should get paid millions for making our family look like the perfect family. Ha!

The break

Last year, I tried really hard to stay in Globe for Spring Break. I wanted to give it a chance. At the end of the week though, I told myself that I would never do that again. So this year, we made plans. They were amazing plans. We planned to rent a house with the Burk's and the Chow's. We found this really nice house in Scottsdale for super cheap. It had a pool! We mostly stayed in and swam. I kind of felt bad for Aaron, because he was the only dad who came. The other dad's had to work. Lame!
A lot of chicks

The kids (including Aaron) couldn't get enough!

We did venture out a little and found ourselves at this fun park

And then of course, we did our thing when the kids went to bed...
uh huh

Lucky Paxtin took a late nap that day, so he was able to find out with us who Ben picked on the Bachelor

After living in luxury for 3 days, we went back to Globe and decided to rough it. We went hiking for a night in the Pinals with the Stoddards and Hanson's.

It was a great time, and these 3 took home the prize for messiest faces!

I definitely have big shoes to fill for next years Spring Break!
