8 is great

Brooklyn turned 8, and you know what that means. Baptism. She was lucky enough to be baptized on her actual 8th birthday! Also, lots of family came to town. Aunt Ti-ti, The Jolley's, my parents and Travis's parents. It was so busy, that I didn't take a million pictures! Instead of starting the day with our traditional breakfast in bed, we woke up and went to Denny's where Brooklyn got the biggest plate of French toast you could imagine! Then it was time to get ready for the baptism. We went early and set up. Brooklyn requested a donut and hot cocoa bar, so that is what we did! Lots of sugar I tell ya. I couldn't have done it without my mom and sister. They are the brains behind the cuteness of it all. I am the one who thinks of the food, so it works out. We took our pre-baptism pictures and then Brooklyn's best friend, Jocee, showed up and they went missing right up until the baptism started. A lot of people came, it was so nice. Brooklyn's aunt Traci and other aunt TC were the speakers in the baptism and her sisters sang a pretty song. Travis baptized and confirmed her a member of the church and the spirit was strong. We are so proud of Brooklyn. We really wanted her to get baptized by her own choice, and we asked her if she really wanted to be baptized and she really did. After the baptism, we hung out and then went out and got some Mexican food and opened presents with the family. It was a nice day! We love our May!

Brooklyn has become a little more adventurous this year, learning how to roller blade and loving climbing camp. We are still working on roller coasters and boating with her!

She still loves to pretend, she is the best at finding things to entertain herself. If I had to choose any kid to go on a road trip with or any kid that had to stay home sick from school, it would for sure be Brooklyn!

She has lots of love/hate relationships!

She loves her little brother

She still loves her sleep and is very hard to get up for school!

She is still very much a Mama's girl!

Lyn, her crazy personality still comes to visit. Brooklyn is super chill until she isn't and that is when Lyn arrives. We are scared of Lyn.

She has learned to not be so shy in the singing world and has become are really good singer!
 This girl loves her sugar!

She is still a girly girl but also loves to get dirty!

She is super funny and will never give you a straight smile without a funny face first

 She loves dancing

 She loves playing games

We love this girl. She is so full of life. Our family wouldn't be the same without her!
