Halloween

Let the festivities begin. Its October and that means Fall, Halloween and the beginning of the holidays.

We did our annual progressive dinner

Leo was the best little Oompa Loompa in the land

Brooklyn was a sparkly unicorn

Isla was Princess Sophia

Avery was a cat of course
I am what I am every year, a witch, wizard, or Malificent figure. My kids don't think its cool anymore.

We started the journey at the Kruise home. This is where we had appetizers and did our FHE play. They chose Daniel and the Lion's den, because ya know, it was a Monday night and we needed to be a little spiritual.

Here are the cute appetizers

And some more costumes

Then we went for soups at the Peery's house. I didn't take pictures of the soups because they were just soups.

But this guy showed up and he dressed up like Dr. Death... its a podcast about a Spine Doctor that was really bad at his job! So Travis was super scary!

After the soups, we finished at our backyard with the Halloween desserts

The piƱata was the funnest part of the night, I am "that mom" and didn't fill it up with candy, I filled it up with light up toys. It turned out awesome. We turned out all the lights and put on rave music, and the kids went crazy with their glow in the dark toys!

I'd say it was a raging success and I will probably have to organize it again next year dang it!!!

Next event was the pumkin carving/painting

It was this boys first real try at painting a pumpkin and he just thought we were weird!

Avery is a big girl and carved her own and came up with her own idea

Uh.... should I be worried?

Next event was Isla's class party
I came and helped with a bingo game. The kids had so much fun!

And we finally made it to the actual day of Halloween! You know how girls (and sometimes guys) take advantage of Halloween and use it as an excuse to dress scandalous? Yeah, we did that. We had fun going to the Jolley's in Gilbert and trick or treating, eating, and just hanging out!!!

I love these fun traditions that we have to look forward to every year!
