JHO (Just hanging out)

The past 2 1/2 weeks have been pretty awesome. When I say awesome I mean interesting... when I say interesting I mean unpredictable... when I say unpredictable I mean... I don't really know what I'm doing! Its crazy to think that God trusts that you will take care of his little creatures; and with no experience! I've had my fair share of tears this past couple of weeks. But with the tears I've also reaped so much joy. I wouldn't trade this new experience for anything.

Just a little about Avery:
She loves sucking! You saw it in the last video. She is a sucking machine! She thinks that her hands are "go-go gadget" arms. When she gets hungry, and I try to feed her, I have to practically tie her hands down because she thinks that she is feeding herself with them. I get no credit!

She is going to have a 6-pack stomach. When she isn't swaddled snugley in her blankets she is constantly doing Pilate's. I should have known she would be this way from the way she behaved in my stomach because she was always kicking around in there. We are thinking she is going to have a mean left foot!

She is also a pooper. In the hospital she pooped on two nurses. Since we have been home she has found the split second opportunity to soil me and herself in between diapers as I'm changing her. I have done more loads of laundry since her birth than the whole year of 2008.

She is a feisty girl when she isn't getting her way. Don't mess with her.

My mom and dad just left. They were here for a week or so. They were so much help! We really miss them... and of course the meals and free cleaning. Come back!!!

Travis and I are adjusting. Travis just started the toughest rotation so far (good timing right?). He is working in a children's hospital. He wakes up at 5:30 am and usually is home around 5 pm. He only gets 4 days off for the whole month and is on call for 4 days of the month which means he has to be at the hospital for about 14 hours. I hate to say this, but to all you single mothers out there, how the heck do you do it? I'm only a partial single mother and I'm still feeling a little overwhelmed! We are counting the days till November when he gets an easier rotation.

Last Prego Pic... 39 1/2 weeks

Cute Pics! And I agree, It's a good thing God trusts us or none of us would ever be mothers. No matter how much you read it can never prepare you for all that is being a mother. I'm sure you're doing a fabulous job.

Milli- I ADORE her! She is sooo precious! Being a parent is so emotional, difficult and natural in the same breath. I don't know if I will ever fully feel like I know what i am doing, especially because Cannon likes to run the show and I am a total pushover. I can't wait to see that sweet little angel in person!

She is seriously SO SO cute Milli!! She's a little peanut huh? Well...so are you. Were you seriously 39 1/2 wks in that picture?! That's not fair...even to me and I've never been pregnant. Good luck in your adventure of single motherhood! :) I'm sure you and Travis are doing awesome!

Oh my goodness, she is so precious, and adorable. Your blog was hillarious. I couldn't have said it better. You're really good at writing. I was totally laughing and crying just remembering. I feel for ya, seriously. It's so hard and yet so worth it. You already know that. Did you think you'd get any different then the cute, little, fiesty personality then she has, considering her parents are go getters. I still can't believe that Heavenly Father trusts us either. Scarey! But little Avery is one lucky girl to have parents like you guys. If you ever need anything, please call. I'd love to help or just listen. :)I wish I lived closer, darn it. I know, I totally lost it when my Mom left me after each baby, actually! Neat that they got to come and help out. By the way, everybody loved you in this ward. And misses you guys. I'm happy to say that you're our friends. :) Ok, I'm done, phew, I guess I had alot to say. haha! Have fun, and take lots of pictures, with you too.

She is so cute. It sounds like you're adjusting really well, at least you have your humor about stuff. That means you're not depressed :0) I'm really happy for you guys. Sorry things are tough with Trav gone so much. At least she's sleeping a lot still so you have time to recover. Hang in there!

Milli I totally know how you feel with Travis at Childrens Mercy. But hey count your blessings that he isn't out of town. It will get a little easier as time goes by and your baby gets a little bigger. Make sure that you find things to keep your time occupied and time will fly by.

I have been thinking about you so much and sending happy, "you will survive" thoughts your way! The first six weeks kind of suck, but after that you get in a groove. Hang in there, you are a great mommy!

JJSLJFJDDKSLDJSJ! Oh sweet baby! adorable. Milli I totally feel ya. I literally didn't see Dave the first month and half after she was born. It sucked big time...but you can do it! And the cool thing is that you will know how to be a single mother from the beginning. I still can't believe you are a mom. And it's fun we are new mom's together...well with new babies :) Are you still feeling exhausted are are you "used to it" yet? Getting no sleep is just second nature for me now...
Ok...I am totally rambling on. I hope all is well! Best of luck with everything!

Milli, I know the exact day you turned into a "mom", it was the Sunday you were still in the hospital--remember? Being a mom is the most difficult but rewarding experience--opposites! I love you and due to the fact that I am listening to the sounds of Sunday, I have tears streaming down, I miss you guys--take care of yourself!
