Our littlest has reached the ripe age of 18 months. This means that when we go to church for 3 hours instead of dragging her everywhere, stuffing her face of cheerios and giving her lame toys, we only have to do that for 1 hour. She started nursery!
Here is a comparison of when Avery was 18 months and started nursery
Time flies!
Brooklyn's first day of nursery, she did great. She only fussed for a minute. When I went to go pick her up after the 2 hour block, there was no Brooklyn. I walked in and the girl watching her said, "hmmm, she was here a minute ago." Then I booked it to the hall and as I was running out, I almost ran right into her.
Props Brooklyn, you escaped out of nursery on your first time in, many have attempted, not many have accomplished.
Ya gotta keep your eye on this girl.
Here is more about our little baby toddler
When you ask her what her name is, she confidently responds, "Awery."
She knows most of her body parts. My favorite is when you ask her what her bum is, she pats her bum a couple of times and says, "bum bum."
Speaking of bum, sometimes when she poops, she will pat her bum in the same way and say, "poo poo." But the other day she was patting her bum and I looked at her and asked her if she went poo poo and she looked and me and said, "toot."
She is obsessed with books. We always read 2 books before bed, and 2 books before naps. Sometimes, when I am really tired and just want her to go to bed, I try to skip this part. She always busts me.
She is really starting to get a temper. She will throw her head back and if I don't catch her, she will hit it hard on the floor.
She should probably wear this at all times! |
She is all of a sudden talking a ton! She is putting two words together, mostly "bye bye Dada, night night Mama, No no Avery."
This girl climbs on everything. Sometimes I will go to check on her and she will be sitting on the kitchen table, or on the bathroom counter. She also destroys the house. I seriously can't keep up with it because by the time I'm cleaning one mess, another is made. She really is a tornado.
She is obsessed with shoes. When we are at the pool, she takes full advantage of the abandoned shoes.
She sings lots of songs, mostly that we can't understand, but the one we do understand is the "hello, hello" song from primary.
She is kind of obsessed with her mom right now, which is OK!
She loves playing (and fighting) with Avery. Sometimes, the first thing she says when she wakes up is, "Awery." And when I go pick her up in her room at the gym, she will give me a huge hug and then point to where Avery is and say, "Awery!"
She is pretty violent. She claws, pinches and at the last resort, bites if you mess with her.
Luckily, she will sit in time out if she does the above.
She loves wrestling with her Dad.
She has all of her teeth, except the vampire ones, which, I feel have been coming for months, just pop up teeth!
She is a cuddler, especially right after a nap. Sometimes she will let me hold her for 10 minutes, but I usually have to be tickling her, she also loves to be tickled.
She is obsessed with animals, and has no fear about it. She sees a dog, and bam, she is off to pet it.
She is honestly the sweetest little girl. She has a nice and happy spirit most of the time. I still feel like she has an older soul inside of her. Sometimes I just want to squeeze her as hard as I can.
We love our Brooklyn!
